After graduating with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in applied physics from Gdansk University of Technology (Poland), Katarzyna joined a Ph.D. program at The Open University (UK) where she obtained her Ph.D. title in 2018. The topic of her study was the development of an experimental cold atoms platform for quantum computing in Silvia Bergamini’s research group. Since 2018, Katarzyna works at Los Alamos National Laboratory (USA) in the Quantum Technologies Team. Her research is focused on ultracold atom systems, in particular, BEC guided in optical potentials for quantum sensing.
