Peter Zoller is Professor of Physics at the University of Innsbruck and Research Director of the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI) of the Austria Academy of Sciences. He is one of the world leading experts in the theoretical aspects of quantum optics, quantum computation&simulation, especially on trapped ion and cold atoms platforms. He has received numerous prestigious awards for his achievements, including The Willis-E.-Lamb Award (2018), Wolf Prize in Physics (2013), Benjamin Franklin Medal (2010), Dirac Medal (2006), Niels Bohr Gold Medal (2005), Max Planck Medal (2005). Prof. Zoller is a member of the European Academy of Sciences, German National Academy of Sciences (Leopoldina), National Academy of Sciences of United States, Royal Spanish Academy of Sciences, Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, and Austrian Academy of Sciences.
