Kevin Wright is an Assistant Professor of Physics at Dartmouth College. He received his Ph.D. in 2009 at the University of Rochester and worked as an NRC postdoctoral fellow at the Joint Quantum Institute in Gaithersburg before taking his current position at Dartmouth College in 2013. His earlier work was on laser-atom interactions involving orbital angular momentum and on superfluid circuits of bosonic atoms. Since moving to Dartmouth, he has been conducting experiments on fermionic quantum gases with periodic boundary conditions. His current research efforts center around persistent currents in fermionic systems, nonequilibrium dynamics in superfluids with tunable interactions, and low-dimensional quantum rings and ring lattices.
