Romain Dubessy is Associate Professor at Sorbonne Paris Nord University since 2012. After graduating from Ecole polytechnique he started a PhD at Paris Diderot University on quantum information processing with trapped ions. In 2010 he joined Hélène Perrin's group at Laboratoire de physique des lasers (LPL) as a postdoctoral fellow and two year later obtained his current position. He is an expert in superfluid dynamics in low dimensions. He investigates currently the physics of fast rotating atomic gases trapped on a curved surface.
