Verònica Ahufinger is associate professor of the Physics Department at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) since 2010. In the last years, she has been very active in the cold atoms quantum technology, specifically in the control of the external degrees of freedom of matter waves and in the use of ultracold atoms in optical lattices as quantum simulators. Prof. Ahufinger has been awarded with the PhD extraordinary award and the excellence research award of the UAB.
