Dr. Juan Polo is a senior postdoctoral researcher at the Technology Innovation Institute in Abu Dhabi, UAE. After obtaining his PhD in Physics in 2016 from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain, he has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the LPMMC in Grenoble, France, and at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology in Japan.
His area of expertise are quantum systems, with a specific focus on ultracold atomic gases. He has investigated Bose gases using mean-field theories as well as strongly interacting systems in the continuum and in optical lattices, with applications to quantum technologies. He is recipient of the Kakenhi Grant and of the PhD Excellence Award of Autonomous University of Barcelona.
